On Thursdays the Hamburger Schachklub plays again on Schellingstraße, Union Eimsbüttel meets in the ETV sports centre on Bundesstraße and the Wandsbeker TSV Concordia's chess department, Palamedes, starts at 19:00. South of the Elbe, SV Diagonale Harburg plays in a school hall after its children's session and Schachclub Schwarz-Weiß Harburg in an AWO day centre; the Schachklub Wilhelmsburg begins at 18:00.
The Schachfreunde Hamburg gather in the parish hall of the Dreifaltigkeitskirche in Hamm and run their monthly blitz there on the first Thursday. SV Billstedt-Horn has a chess afternoon in the Waschhaus from 14:00. In the towns nearby, the Pinneberger Schachclub meets in the parish hall of St. Michael and the Schachklub Norderstedt in the Rathaus-Forum. The monthly blitz of the Schachklub Wilhelmsburg falls on a Thursday as well, with attendance reported by 19:25.
